The following itinerary was developed for ten-day trips.
Parties with more than ten days to spend in Ecuador are encouraged to lengthen
their acclimatization schedule to help encourage success on the mountain.
Those already acclimatized in Ecuador can follow much shorter
Days 1-4: Arrive Quito, acclimatization, exercise,
Day 5: Climb Pasochoa, and in the process walk through
Days 6: Rest, relaxation, acclimatization continues.
Days 7-8: To Cotapaxi refuge. Rest and snow
Day 9: Climb Cotapaxi and descend to Quito.
