Cotapaxi Expedition
Description:
Our Cotapaxi expedition is a favorite expedition among our clients. It also serves as an
excellent introduction to mid-high altitude mountaineering. Staged out of Quito,
the 10 day Cotapaxi expedition consists of the
acclimatization ascents of Pasochoa (4200 meters) and possibly Cotacachi
(5000 meters). After more rest, relaxation, and
acclimatization, we move to the Cotapaxi refuge for several days before
attempting Cotapaxi
(5897 meters).
Dates:
The climbing season in Ecuador is complex
but forgiving. Therefore all trips are currently arranged

shorter itineraries are possible for people already in Ecuador and acclimatized.
